But any change of mangers is a risk. No matter what their credentials.

I'm not against the idea for the right name, but I don't have hundreds of millions at stake.

If I did I may stick with the known entity, and given their track record I'd say the two Daves will as well.

Wouldn't disagree that 'not fucking up' is a pre-requisite. Sam is not the only solution for that particularly with a half decent squad (and yes, I do remember Rodent).

However, as in other businesses there are mangers best suited for different circumstances such as recovery, stability and growth etc. We are now where we are and should be looking to take forward what we've got with a growth/ development in mind rather than limping along to stand still. Horses for courses as it were.

Well in the longer term sure. But right now. With the OS waiting, it really has to be about not fucking it up.

Or in business terms a team truly challenging top 6 has a better resale value. I don't see a Sam side having the belief or imagination to better 7th or 8th also-rans.

A lot of it depends on the owners relationship with BFS. There rumors that it's tense, but they have dealt with this a lot before.

In business terms they would be stupid to do it the year before we move.

I think the one chance of moving him on comes if the club gets bought.

Good post, but I'm not sure the West Ham ship is any leakier than other mid-table vessels.

Monk - Agreed. Nobody seems to take us seriously. Most pundits, media, seem to think little old West Ham should be happy with where they are, that's why it was refreshing to see Adrian DURHAM coming ourt with what he did last week.

I would like to think that when we have moved out of Green Street. nearer to London, in a 54k capacity stadium, then maybe people will relasie that we are no longer happy just to make up the numbers. We are NOT Hull City.

Re: Tottenham v West Ham - Official Match Thread 0-2
In truth its unlikely anyone running the club takes any notice of what Seamouse or any other poster on here thinks.

The general view of the inward looking football world is that we should be happy with our lot because we do not belong at the top table. An overachieving club to make some patronising comments about in between pumping up the Big 4 or 5 global brand sides. They take no notice of how we play or whether we could do better they just tick off league position against history and conclude we have had a great season.

Compared to the situation post Grant we have done well. Sam takes some of the credit for that but it is clear he is only cut out for keeping a leaking ship afloat. His philosophy and tactics revolve around that. He cannot adapt to a club that may have greater ambitions. So thanks Sam and farewell.
